Excess nutrients, especially phosphate, are key contributors to algal blooms and the build-up of sludge in lakes. The organic portion of sludge also stores free nutrients, further encouraging algae growth. Removing sludge increases lake water capacity and reduces the likelihood of harmful green and blue-green algae blooms.

SchlixX Plus accelerates sludge digestion by releasing both oxygen and specially bred natural micro-organisms into the sludge, leading to these key effects:
